Crazy About Her (2021)
SnakePliscan 2 points 1 day ago.

Adi thinks its a good idea but what he did not consider is that he might be and uninvited guest, then the fun begins, a little cringey at the end but pretty good all round. 3.5/5

A Beautiful Now (2016)
SnakePliscan 2 points 2 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

It wouldn’t be a spoiler to say this woman locks herself in the bathroom and all her friends come to talk to her through the door (it”s on the cover photo), the story unfolds through conversions and flashbacks and we are lead back to the current situation, also there is a force in the room that can not reverse time, only stop it. The story takes a turn when a friend who isn’t there comes up and everyone gets to digest that. Somewhat amusing. 3.5/5

My Ex-Ex (2015)
SnakePliscan 1 points 2 days ago*.

This was alright, the production was pretty decent the acting was pretty darn good and there were a few parts that were frickin hilarious, yeah its worth a watch.

Nearing Grace (2005)
Peevee 2 points 3 days ago.

I saw this in theaters with my mom in 2005 lol

SnakePliscan 2 points 3 days ago.

That would make for some interesting after movie conversation

Come Early Morning (2007)
SnakePliscan 4 points 3 days ago.

Ashley Judd is a pro at doing a character study, this was like that old saying, you gotta learn to love yourself before you can love someone else, would have been a good name for the movie.

Nearing Grace (2005)
SnakePliscan 3 points 3 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Enjoyable story about a guy who needs to figure some stuff out about high school, his girl friends and what the heck to do after grad… if he graduates. lots of good dialogue.

Wellington Paranormal (2018)
SnakePliscan 1 points 4 days ago.

Kind of a dry humor thing that i would call Ghostbusters of New Zealand. 3.5/5

The Mauritanian (2021)
SnakePliscan 1 points 5 days ago.

Looks like a highly charged movie going by the trailer i saw over on yewtube, another spotlight in a sea of corruption, we need more such films. On my watch list.

The Map of Tiny Perfect Things (2021)
SnakePliscan 3 points 10 days ago*.

This is also a mystery and if you think a little outside the box you might be able to figure out what breaks the anomaly before the end.

Snapshots (2018)

Bad Cupid (2021)

Heart wrenching.

Two Sentence Horror Stories (2019)
Killion 1 points 1 month ago.

I wondered the same thing and this is what I came up with:

“It may be called Two-Sentence Horror Stories, but each episode of The CW’s new horror anthology show is a full-blown tale of terror. … Akin to Syfy’s Channel Zero, which is based on viral creepypasta horror legends, Two Sentence Horror Stories is inspired by the online fan fiction community of which it gets its name.”

SnakePliscan 2 points 1 month ago.

I found this .. Back in the day, author Ernest Hemingway wrote a two-sentence horror story that reads, “For sale, Baby shoes, Never worn.” It is said that he penned this during lunch along with some other writers just to prove that the effect of fear and dread can be delivered just by six words.

Crazy meets crazier is getting kinda boring it’s hard to be entertained when your cringing.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2015)
Invalid ID 3 points 3 months ago.

from correspondent on the most widely watched news program, to the biggest sellout (by necessity) in television history. But hey, you have to tow the party line if you really want to succeed. What ever will he joke about now that trump is out?

So being cool hip and beautiful is no guarantee of mutual admiration, its a good sounding video thanks to autotune.

Crack: Cocaine, Corruption & Conspiracy (2021)
SnakePliscan 2 points 1 month ago.

Watching this reminds me of one of Einstein’s sayings; Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.
Now one of the perpetrators of mass incarceration is poised to lead the country, will he carry his legacy forward or abandon failed programs of the past? This movie really raises so many questions about what is right and wrong and what are real answers to building a better society. Powerful drama with great interviews.

The Secrets We Keep (2020)
Snoop 2 points 1 month ago.

Polanski did not write Death and the Maiden. He just directed a script based on the play by Dorfman so characters and conversations owe nothing to him.
Noomi Rapace would have been excellent in D&tM. This movie wastes her talent imo.

SnakePliscan 1 points 1 month ago.

Some interesting points and stuff i didn’t know, Rapace in D&tM yup i’d watch that! tks Snoop

To the Stars (2019)
SnakePliscan 2 points 1 month ago.

Some really good acting here, i’m not sure the story makes sense entirely concerning people’s motives, some of the actions taken by characters is religion drivin and i wonder if political correctness has muted the writing to not even mention it ? Someone in their 20’s would be doing a head scratcher on this one as the behavioral context of some events are scarcely implied, Weird!

No Place to Hide (1993)
SnakePliscan 0 points 2 months ago.

Fun Fact; Despite starring in this movie, Kris Kristofferson himself has scorned it since. When fans come asking about the picture, he often pretends to not remember even filming it.

Tall Girl (2019)
SnakePliscan 1 points 2 months ago.

This is about the characters that surround tall girl as much as its about Jodi herself, its enjoyable to watch how the cast play off her in these different situations, yup lots going on to keep the viewer amused. Enjoy.

It’s not just you. If David Spade and Rob Schneider are in it, it’s a disaster

SnakePliscan 1 points 2 months ago.

Maybe so but Lauren Lapkus steals not just her scenes but the whole movie

The Wrong Missy (2020)
TisOnlyMe -1 points 9 months ago.

Jeez, i lasted under 6 mins with this one and that was 5 mins too long! Another unfunny Netflix so-called-comedy disaster..or maybe it’s just me. Whatever, not to my taste anyway.. NEXT! :))x

SnakePliscan 1 points 2 months ago*.

How could a movie that has this track at half-time be bad …https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYaQ-pMAaZs&ab_channel=TheSoundtrackDealer … (performed by Schneider’s daughter, Elle King)

Stockholm, Pennsylvania (2015)

This flips the conventional wisdom about this sort of thing on its head and asks the viewer to see another perspective and then throws a twist into that, heart wrenching in parts and then that ending ? enjoy.

Ammonite (2020)
somniloquist 4 points 2 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Mary Anning is a fossil. She’s dark, muddy, rough. She’s unassuming yet exploited. She is exceedingly difficult for most people to understand. And anyway, they don’t take the time to even try. She takes daring to obtain, hours of work to reveal, a certain knowledge to understand, and her ultimate value is incalculable.
Along comes Charlotte. She learns to hunt for, discover, and care for fossils. One in particular.
(Nothing says historic lesbian drama like a dimly lit film with precious little dialogue. If Winslet and Ronan don’t get best actress nominations for their work in this, I quit.)

SnakePliscan 1 points 2 months ago.

Do you think Mary will ever say “I love you”

Spanish, not a huge amount of dialogue so that’s okay, some great acting with a pretty simple story.

Mature Young Adults (2015)

Seems to me this should be is the fantasy genre as the odd’s of this ever happening seem slim ?

Una (2017)

Is it safe anymore to have an opinion about these sorts of things, now that it is 1984 ? Rooney Mara is good in this, daring one in many scenes to read her mind. enjoy.

Four Christmases (2008)

Sling Blade (1997)

The Crimes That Changed Us (2020) S1 E1
SnakePliscan 3 points 3 months ago.

In a word, tragedy. Its partly narrated and recounted by one of her friends, bit of a hodge podge but trial and lawyer viewpoints were interesting. psychological head scratcher like wow !

The Crimes That Changed Us (2020) S1 E1
Julianna 3 points 3 months ago.

I refuse to watch this. My Mom and step Dad lived right near where this horror happened. Hurts my heart what she did to those precious babies. I don’t need any reminders of it.

SnakePliscan 3 points 3 months ago.

You had a genuine experience connected to this event, only you can make the call as to whether watching this film will enhance or diminish that. Your comment got me thinking about other real life events that were turned into films and how they serve a purpose if any…

One Summer Night (2020)
SnakePliscan 2 points 3 months ago*.

Take one high school experience, hook up with your ex-girlfriend and make a dialogue driven analysis film about it, and for the viewer, compare that to what u are going through or went through back then. Interesting concept.
